Review - SKEANIE Riding Boots

Author: Chloe - Sorry About The Mess   Date Posted:13 January 2014

Arlo loves new shoes.

Seriously, these boots saved me from the usual post-afternoon nap meltdown over my refusal to grant the insessent demands for chocolate.

“No Arlo, there’s no chocolate. But I do have a special present for you… New shoes!”

“There!” he beamed excitedly as he spotted the newly arrived boots sitting in their box on the table, all red and shiny. Then he spent all afternoon proudly wearing them in the garden.

These boots are great. A wonderful bright red, made with good quality soft leather. They have tug labels at the front and back of the boots, which eases the task of getting them on wriggly feet.

If you haven’t heard of Skeanie before, the brand was founded by a mum, and all shoes are designed with a soft, flexible sole to allow little, developing feet to move freely. Fear not, though – the soles are more than sturdy enough for an active toddler.

We love these cheerful boots, they will be Arlo’s number one footwear choice for Autumn / Winter.

  1. We LOVE Skeanies. Elliot was sent a pair for us to review a while ago and they have lasted so well. And he walks like he is barefoot, which is great for their development.

    • The soft sole is really important to me. I’ve put Arlo in so many shoes that just seem uncomfortable, I don’t like to think I’m damaging his little feet before he has the words to tell me that his shoes are uncomfortable.

    Ooh these look good!

  3. They look gorgeous and so cool! Allegra has really big feet (size 6-7 already and she’s 19 months!) and really wide, podgy feet (as everyone person in shoe shops keeps telling me!) so it’s really hard to find her shoes to fit, but I might investigate these xx

    • Wow, that is big! Arlo is a 5 at the moment but doubt it will be long before he’s in a size 6. He also has really wide feet and the Skeanies have been great, I think they are slightly wider fitting so good for toddlers like ours! ; )
